COMING SOON-THE VISUAL CONTRAST SENSITIVITY TEST(VCS)
The eye is the window into the brain, which is 60% lipid(fat) with the retina having one of the highest cellular lipid complexities in its outer membrane of its photoreceptor cells. Each cell contains about 2000 lipid membrane discs which house 140 million proteins called rhodopsin that capture photons of light to produce sight. The lipids in the membrane hold the proteins in a flexible way so as to maximize the capture of the photons. Toxic metals and chemicals are fat soluble and dissolve in the lipids and degrade sight by limiting the flexibility of the membrane. The nerve cells that transmit the signals to the brain to produce sight also have lipid membranes. Toxins dissolved in these membranes degrade sight by disturbing nerve conductivity. Therefore, the VCS Test is a reflection of the toxic load contained in the photoreceptor cells of the eyes. Furthemore, since all cells in the body are surrounded by lipid cell membranes, the VCS test is really a reflection of the toxic load of the body in general that is negatively impacting health.
